  • LANLine Tech Forum "Verkabelung / Netze / Infrastruktur“ (Cabling / Networks / Infrastructure) 2014, Duesseldorf / Neuss

Together with other well-known names from the IT infrastructure industry, GHMT AG too had a stand at the LanLine Tech Forum "Verkabelung / Netze / Infrastruktur" (Cabling / Networks / Infrastructure) held in Duesseldorf / Neuss on September 2-3, 2014.

Topical issues covered by the 2-day event included the new Ethernet speeds of 40 and 100 Gbps via optical fibers and copper as well as current standards for cabling and data centers.

The GHMT AG stand hosted a great many visitors discussing lots of different specialist issues, handed out a great deal of information and witnessed many interesting conversations with experts.

GHMT started off the second day of the LANLine Tech Forum with a talk entitled "Quality of optical fibers - where there is light, there is shadow", given by Dirk Wilhelm, the CEO of GHMT. This tied in seamlessly with last year's presentation entitled "Quality in the passive infrastructure - when saving cost becomes a risk!" and illustrated that for fiberoptic cables, both the product and test processes must be described unambiguously due to the wide range of applicable standards. For end customers to obtain the necessary quality, it must be tested independently and transparently, otherwise even the best will not be helpful.

We would like to thank all those involved for a very successful event and look forward to welcoming you again to LANline Tech Forum 2015 in Munich on February 10-11, 2015!
